A Natural Nail Polish Remover?

Yesterday, through all my rummaging to re-find links that I used to know where they where, I also re-found a link I'd saved to a Natural nail polish remover I wanted to try off of Naturally Fierce.  I opened it up today to see what ingredients I needed so that I could purchase them when I went to buy my ingredients for body wash. To my pleasurable surprise, I already had all the items needed. It calls for Vinegar, and a Citrus Fruit. We have LOTS of vinegar, and several oranges. So I was set. And I really needed to remove my nail polish.

According to the original post, I needed 1/2 Cup of Vinegar, mixed with the juice of the fruit. So I measured out the vinegar, squeezed the juice from the orange, stirred it a bit and plunged my nails in. It says to leave your nails in for two minutes, but I left mine in a bit longer, just in case. After using a whole cotton ball to try and rub the nail polish off, It looked exactly the same. So I soaked my nails a bit longer. After about half an hour of soaking and rubbing, I think they looked the same. Maybe it didn't work because of the nail polish I used... or maybe it's because I didn't use a base coat when I did mine last time, or maybe it's because there was only one thin coat of color on them to begin with... regardless, I was only slightly disappointed. I was sad that I wasted a whole orange on this experiment. And my usual way of removing nail polish doesn't even take a whole cotton ball. So after washing my hands, I pulled out my regular nail polish remover, and the color was gone in less than five minutes. I also wasn't completely disappointed because, while rummaging in my storage boxes of kitchen stuff for my juicer, I found my candy thermometer.
